Department of Commerce:

The Department of Commerce is the biggest department of our college and it offers B.Com (General) and B.Com (Computer Applications) at graduation level. Commerce is a field in which students who have an interest in the field of financial information/transactions, trading of economic value, managerial skills, statistical tools analysis, Law related to Business & Companies, Computerized Accounting using TALLY package, Income Tax, Corporate transactions etc…Commerce is the field which provides knowledge approximately in twenty related subjects of it at three years of graduation. B.Com provides perfection in preparation of accounts in financial, Costing, managerial, income tax, Joint Stock Companies.

In order to facilitate the overall performance of the students, Commerce department conducts many Curricular and Co-curricular activities such as Workshops, Webinars, Class-room seminars, Quiz, Group Discussions, Extension lectures, Coaching for Competitive Examinations, Mock Tests for competitive exams, Industrial tours, Field visits, Remedial coaching classes, Guidance for Higher Education and Employment opportunities etc.

Activities

 1.      The department also introduced Commerce Lab as a part of curriculum to provide practical exposure to commerce students on Trade, Commerce & Industry in order to prepare the students to fulfill the requirements of industry and business and develop entrepreneurial abilities to start own business or to get employment in the competitive job market.

2.      To inculcate the skills of business dealings and to study the market situations, under the supervision of faculty, the commerce students has established Savithribaiphule Women Empowering Cooperative Stores on February 6th 2020.

3.      B.Com students took initiation and established the cooperative stores at college level from the year 2017 onwards.

4.      Students will undergo Tally course simultaneously with regular graduation course and are provided with Tally certificates from certified institutes.

5.      Industrial tour to Gandhi Handmade Papers & Crafts( Durshed), Karimnagar Diary and MSME cluster industries at Karimnagar.

6.      Extension lecture on Higher Education and Career guidance by Dr.A.Satish Kumar (Assistant Professor at SRR Govt. College, Karimnagar, and senior advisor in academics and finance area ).

7.      Extension lecture on Tally by Dr. N.V.N.Chary.

8.      Our Students went on Field Visit to Andhra Bank, Nagunoor Branch.

9.      Our students participated and bagged prizes in Satavahana Vikalpa a meet for commerce students organized by Department of Commerce, Satavahana University.
