Department of English:

Ø  English is the language of international communication, the media and the internet. Knowing English increases one’s chances of getting a good job or for finding work in any firm. The British council projects that by the end of 2020, 2 billion people in the world will be studying English. Although learning English can be challenging and time consuming, we at the department of English, TSWRDCW Karimnagar can take pride in having some of the most enthusiastic and dedicated teachers of the college.

Ø  In addition to the traditional chalk and talk method classes, special interactive classes by applying group discussion, question-answer, demonstration method are practiced to encourage the students and thereby improve their learning of the LSRW (listening/speaking/reading/writing) skills. Special classes are held for the slow-learners. Departmental seminars are being held regularly to improve the overall performance of the students with focus on soft skills and communication skill

Opportunities:

Ø  The students are always made aware of the wide scope for their future with English. The placement of the output in different government and non-government sectors and self employment is one of the main challenges before the department and we encourage our students in this direction.
