Physics is a broad field and complex too. It covers everything from sound and light to nuclear energy and geology.

Opportunities towards higher education with Physics:

·         Students can go for masters (M.Sc in Physics) in any institutions across the globe. By clearing exams like JAM, JEST, CUCET, CPGET etc. They can secure a seat in IITs, NITs, Central universities and state universities.

·         Students can enroll for integrated dostoral courses( int. PhD) directly after B.Sc and they can write exams like TIFR GS and JEST for that.

·         All universities (except the specialised universities) have physics department and they offer M.Sc in different branches of physics. Like M.Sc in Geophysics, M.Sc in Astrophysics, M.sc in Biophysics, M.Sc in Electronics and communication and so on.

·         Indian school of mining in dhanbadh offers M.SC for Physics graduates.

Employment opportunities:

·         Physics graduates can apt working as assistants in research labs like DRDO, NGRI etc directly after completing their graduation.

·         B.SC MPC background students can work as scientific assistants in prestigious institutions like ISRO, GAIL, PCB, IMD etc.

·         After successful completion of masters in Physics they have more options to choose. They can become lecturers. They can go for exams like NET and GATE and by clearing them can join as research fellows in la

UPSC recruits Geophysicist every year for which M.SC geophysics students and as well M.SC Physics students are eligible.

· M.SC Astrophysics and as well M.SC Phy students can even go for working in space institutes like SAC, NASA

·  Ph.D holders in Physics can join as professors, researches and scientists across the globe. And so on..

·  Students can go for employment directly after pursuing graduation in Physics. They can opt research institutes like DRDO, ISRO, and NGRI etc. They can get employment in fields like Meteorology and Geology etc.
