MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT:

    The department of mathematics is an important constituent of the faculty of basic sciences .Mathematics is a rigorous and demanding intellectual pursuit, it is also interesting, exciting and challenging. Mathematics makes our life orderly and prevent chaos .Certain qualities that are nurtured by mathematics are power of reasoning, creativity, abstract or spatial thinking, critical thinking, problem solving ability and even effective communication skills.

Mathematics provides an effective way of building mental discipline and encourages logical reasoning and mental rigor .In addition mathematical knowledge plays a crucial role in understanding the contents of other school subjects such as science, social studies and even music and art.

Department of mathematics has well qualified and eminent faculty members who creates interest in learning mathematics among the students in happy environment. Mathematics department has introduced the measures to achieve a paradigm shift from a teacher – centric to learner – centric education.
